The Electrician Helper assists electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician actually installing the work and handling the bulk of materials. &nbsp;This employee should keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and the work area clean at all times. &nbsp;Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment. Electrician Helpers are prohibited from working on energized circuits or equipment.
Preferred Job Skills
Able to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained. Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Must be an effective and professional communicator.

Basic blueprint knowledge Layout from field sketches Panel terminations Size conduit and boxes Transformer terminations Motor terminations Underground conduit installation Overhead and &nbsp;in wall conduit and cable installation Wire terminations in J-Box Conduit and box installation in CMU block alongside masons Pull wire feeder/branch/low-voltage Operate equipment (training will be provided). Assist in keeping fluid levels checked and greased in all equipment and vehicles. All other duties as assigned.&nbsp;

License: Valid state driver's license preferred.&nbsp; Certification: None required. Education: High School Graduate/GED preferred.&nbsp; Experience: None required.
Working Conditions:
Job requires working in all weather elements; heat, cold, rain, or snow, depending on job location and time of year. Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns). Job requires employee to have required personal tools with him at all times (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs.). Work from all types of ladders and be able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted. Employee&rsquo;s personal weight with tools cannot exceed the rated weight capacity of ladders used. Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial work platforms, cat walks and other safe work areas. Work in restricted or confined areas such as switch gear-rooms, manholes, utility tunnels and crawl spaces. Must wear all personal protective equipment as required Must be able to regularly work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required. Night shifts, weekends, and out-of-town work may be required.

Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required. Comprehension of construction drawings, schematics and specifications. Bend conduit using hand benders. General Summary:&nbsp;
The Electrician reports to a Superintendent or person designated by the Superintendent to perform assigned functions in accordance with company policies and procedures and assist in achieving the project&rsquo;s goals and objectives. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, equipment and associated materials within the electrical construction industry.
Preferred Job Skills:
Must possess in-depth commercial or industrial electrical construction experience, and be able to meet or exceed productivity goals. Demonstrated ability to install conduit, wire and cable systems is required. Ability to install and terminate panels, switchboards and other electrical equipment. Must have basic math skills, dependable transportation and a willingness to commute daily to remote job sites. Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Must adhere to Ace Electric&rsquo;s Safety Program. Must be able to install electrical work in accordance with Ace Electric Standards while adhering to project plans and specifications. Coordinate installations with other construction trades. Must utilize reason and logic to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately. Must possess a complete understanding of construction drawings and details, and be able to visualize the 3-dimensional structure represented. Responsible for coordinating the materials, tools and equipment necessary to complete any assigned task. Direct the work of Electrician Helpers and Apprentices as assigned by Superintendent or their designated person. Accurately install conduit, wire, pre-fab assemblies, panel-boards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment per layout by the Superintendent or designated person. Prevent excessive waste of labor and materials by performing high quality installations, consistent with the designed layout, without requiring rework. Follow construction drawings and other documents to ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completion of wall, ceiling, and flooring finishes are installed. Measure, cut, bend, thread, ream, and install conduit, using appropriate tools such as hacksaw, band saw, pipe threader and conduit bender. Pull and terminate branch and feeder conductors. Terminate wiring to light fixtures, motors, panels, devices, and other electrical equipment, using hand tools and power tools. Utilize test equipment to test voltage, amperage, and continuity of circuit wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of components. Ability to trouble-shoot and perform repairs on faulty circuits, equipment or systems. Complete all required documentation.

Responsibilities:&nbsp;
The Instructor uses multiple training techniques including presentation and lecture, hands on practices, partner member presentations, group presentations by students and other effective instructional methods in the Apprenticeship Training Program.
Uses the Curriculum to deliver PowerPoint presentations and visual aids. Utilizes partner members that offer training and technical experts in a particular subject. Completes annual training and/or Instructor Certification course(s). Develops a lesson plan for each course date to ensure all learning objectives are covered in each class. Possesses communicative skills including delivering a developed syllabus and the ability to speak to groups. Communicates effectively and helps students develop good study habits. Completes all administrative work on time such as grade submissions and attendance records. Prepares and conducts student laboratory exercise related to the Curriculum. Enforces Laboratory Safety Procedures, including Eye protection and proper lock out tag out procedures. Attends instructor meetings as required. Completes other duties as required and ask for assistance when needed. Instructors are required to be available to provide extra help to students at times not necessarily during class time. &nbsp;&nbsp;
Position Requirements:
License: Completion of the IEC Apprenticeship program and a Georgia Electrical Contractors License is preferred. General Summary:&nbsp;
The Superintendent will oversee the operations and field personnel responsible for the installation, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials/equipment for the assigned job. &nbsp;The Superintendent will report to the Project Manager.
Preferred Job Skills:
Strong commercial and industrial electrical background. Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing sophisticated test equipment (DMM, Megger, PQM, UCT, IR Camera, etc.). Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Ability to safely operate and maintain a specialized electrical service vehicle. Able to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. Able to demonstrate necessary computer and keyboard skills. OSHA 30 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained. Ability to manage customer and company specific information and documentation in an organized manner. Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Must be an effective and professional communicator, both written and verbally. Able to be on twenty-four hour call on a rotating basis, as needed.

Responsible for leading and directing all field personnel involved in the project to include orientation, time keeping, daily reports, safety reports, accident reports, and disciplinary reports. May function as the Site Safety Representative for the project. Responsible for the construction take off of the job using the bid estimate as a guideline, but will plan the job in the most efficient and profitable manner. Insure all materials are ordered and received in a timely manner to insure compliance with the job work schedule. Work closely with Fabrication to maximize the opportunity for savings regarding the installation of field materials to include the labor. Necessary to have and maintain certain personal tools as directed by Leadership. Will read and comply with all guidelines provided in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, or Policy and Procedure Manual, and will require any field employees under their leadership to do the same. All other duties as assigned.
