Description

The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence through effective budgeting, accurate scheduling, and great leadership.  You work closely with your colleagues (sales/project engineers/purchasing/technical support/service support) and external parties (installers/OEMs/energy companies, etc) to launch and facilitate successful projects.

Responsibilities:

-Take ownership of assigned projects

-Plan and execute technology focused (i.e. EV Infrastructure) electrical projects on-time and on-budget

-Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues

-Build a process to simultaneously deliver multiple projects in various stages of complexity

-Manage all aspects of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) process

-Control budgets and change order management with clients and suppliers

-Check and prepare site management reports, designs, drawings

-Execute customer acceptance and effective handoff 

-Direct all aspects of construction process including commissioning/validation and activation

-Communicate timely, efficiently, and openly (giving instructions and keeping everything well informed of the project progress)

-Ensure safety of the installation, construction, and work environment 

-Maintain quality control procedures

-Facilitate safety inspections;ensure site meets regulations as applicable to authorities having jursidiction

-Regular reporting on progressions, customer requests, installed equipment, product performance, and labor allocations

-Weekly reporting on KPI's including planning, budgeting, pricing, and quality to the management team

-Generate lessons learned and project close out documentation

 

Qualifications and requirements:

-3-5 years of experience as a Project manager for complex projects, preferably in the energy and/or installation industry of $100k and up

-Bachelors' or Masters' degree in an engineering field

-Knowledge of project financing and project management methodologies is strong advantage (Prince2, Scrum, Agile, Lean, etc)

-Strong English communication skills and presentation skills.

-Proficient in MC office and PM software

-Demonstrated negotiation skills;knowledge of CRM/ERP systems

-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
